Lucio's (Paddington)

Italian restaurant situated in a terrace house in Windsor St in Paddington.
Cosy setting. A bit La-di-da..

Not recommended for those on a budget! The entrees itself are in the high $20-30. Mains are in the $40 mark. (Mama-mia!!)
But the food is excellent!
Their fish is their main specialty. Forgot the name of it, but you need to order it when you make your booking, otherwise they won't make it. Fish under a thick shell of salt, and they crack it open when they serve it. Extra filling! I don't like fish, but that was quite nice from memory. Tasted like chicken!

They also serve yummy gelato for dessert. I had pineapple gelato.. was the shiz!!

Still yet to go back!

House of Pie (Matraville)

Located on Bunnerong Road.

Very small bakery like shop. Fresh pies and open late!.. I think 24hrs, not sure.
Many different kinds to chose from ranging from the traditional meat pie to.. a spaghetti pie!

There are alot of bogans on the street at night in the area, so preferably don't go too late!

Stir Crazy (Kirribilli)

A small cosy Thai restaurant with views of the Harbour Bridge.

Rich flavours and can't really remember the prices. I think they were just the same as any other Thai place.

Just checked the website, and they've expanded to Windsor, Castle Hill and Penrith Plaza.
I'd still travel to Kirribilli for it tho.

Rashays (Macquarie St - Liverpool)

An alright local cafe.
Cheap steak and huge drinks.
Karen and I like it.

Kinda overrun by Swedes these days though...

Lowenbrau Keller (The Rocks)

Löwenbräu Keller, a well known Bravarian pub at The Rocks.
Hear good things about this place.
Must try one day!

Very busy, bookings recommended.

Kador Cafe (Strathfield)

A cafe in the heart of Korea, erm I mean Strathfield.
Great place for post-outing dessert or drinks as it is open late.
Seating is a bit of a pain and can be a bit dirty at times.

Some fruity dessert servings can be quite large.

Capitan Torres (Sydney)

Alright little spanish place on the outskirts of Chinatown.
Easy to miss the sign and the entrance unless you already know of it.
Its a bit creepy when you enter/leave because of the giant vault-like door haha

Avoca Pizza Place (Canley Vale)

Came here for Jocelyn's brother's bday.
It was alright, nothing special in my opinion.
Cant remember what pizzas we had.

Carne Station (Parramatta)

Something I've never really understood about KBBQ is the fact you have to pay to cook your own fucken food.

Sure, you get a platter of raw shit to throw onto the hotplate but by the end of the night you smell like shit and you're dirtier than u were when you walked in.

The only pro I can think of is that most of em are all-you-can-eat.
With that opinion out in the open, dont ever expect a great KBBQ recommendation from me.

Anyways, about Carne station.
Its ok.

Although there was one "wtf" moment when the food dripped oil into the flames and caused a huge inferno. The dumb waitress though it'd be a great idea to pour water, from a green plastic watering can, from a height of 1m or more onto a fire that was right in front of me and the other people around me.

If memory serves me correctly, pouring WATER into an OIL BASED FIRE will cause the hot burning oil to spit splash around.

Dong Son (Cabramatta)

Great place to go for cheap and filling char kuey teow!
Even has egg in it!!

Not my fave, but definitely up there.

Would go well with a can of sars...
mmm sars...

Pho 76 (Green Valley)

Good cheap asian food thats close by.
Open most of the time.

Paul's little special place =P

Sydney Tower Restaurant (Centerpoint)

Buffet with a 360 degrees view of Sydney. Relaxed atmosphere. Choose to dress up or casual.

The last times I went there, I had to book. Around $50 per person. Pretty much paying for the views and pretty lights (if you are up there for dinner), as the food is nothing special. Every time I think of the restaurant I think of ham and gravy. Of course there are other types of meat and seafood.

Make the most of the $50 (I think the prices have gone up now), and starve beforehand!!
.. And another tip while there.. REMEMBER YOUR TABLE NUMBER!! as the restaurant is always revolving, YOU WILL get confused, as every seat looks the same.

Superbowl (Chinatown x2)

2 locations.
one is in chinatown, and quite cramped.

the other has 2 levels, and has much more room

must have the honey dew drink with coconut peices!!!

its like home food, but with more variety
open quite late

Ajisen Ramen (Chinatown)

Nice, quiet little ramen place in Chinatown.

DO NOT BUY THE MELON SODA JUICE WHATEVER IT IS!!!
Absolutely disgusting!

Has a logo of a little girl holding a bowl of noodles on the logo, not hard to find but easy to forget.

Ramen Kan (Chinatown)

Some jap place thats apparently pretty good.
Small though, so seating is limited.

Only accessible via an elevator across from the Sydney Entertainment Center.

Blackbird Cafe (Cockle Bay)

Good place to sit around with a drink and talk crap while waiting.

Food is average, nothing fancy.
Wasnt happy about the steak where they shoved this stupid herb in that frikken STUNK!
It was like a leaf of some random Australian plant in the bush.

The only thing I really remember is that Bert was having some gay sounding cocktail lol

Cafe D2D (Beverly Hills)

Quiet little cafe in Beverly Hills.

Not bad for a quick meal or catchup.

Bavarian Bier Café (York St - Sydney)

Theres a few of em around, I cant remember the one I went to.

The food here is awesome!
Its like a classy pub or something with better food.

Mussels here are damn good!

you'll regret it

nice view, right by the water

Harry's Cafe de Wheels (Woolloomooloo, Capitol Square, Liverpool)

This caravan is filled with goodies from Hannah's Pies at Ultimo.

Place is open late and theres ALWAYS a line, regardless of when you go.
Theres also a chance of bumping into a celebrity!

Meat and Wine Co (Parramatta, Darling Harbour)

steaks are alright here
pretty pricy though!

tends to be quite busy, so bookings recommended

Thai Pothong (Newtown)

Seriously awesome thai place!
Minus all that tacky blingy crap laying around, its got good food!

oh man the garlic fish, thats good stuff!
just be mindful about the garlic breath that will last for about 2 days haha

would recommend booking before hand, usually quite busy

Pancakes at the Rocks (The Rocks, Northmead, Darling Harbour)

alright place for a quick feed.
luckily the other locations have reduced the queues, so its much easier to get a seat these days.

Little Snail (Darling Harbour)

hmm, had kangaroo steak here
it was one of those fancy shmancy upper class type places, not terribly fond of it

service was terrible

apparently their main dish is... snails?
didnt have the guts to try it, i probably would of thrown up

The Malaya (King st Wharf)

Not bad, had some interesting dishes.
Birthday girl wanted a set menu so we just went with that.

huge place, seems busy so probably better to book

Note: the curry burns on the way in, and scorches on the way out!

Hogs Breath (Blacktown, Castle Hill, Parramatta, Batesmans Bay)

Nice and simple for a quick feed.

Steaks are consistently good, love the curly fries and the tex mex isnt too bad!

Image092 (2)

La Parrillada (Leichhardt)

man, what a mighty meat place!

Parrillada Isabella’s Deluxe ($149.00)
Over 4kg of meat for 6 Persons or more

Parrillada Deluxe ($99.90)
Over 3kg of meat for 4 persons

Parrillada ($54.90)
Over 2kg of meat for 2 persons

http://www.laparrillada.com.au/menu.html

Pepper Steak (Sydney)

an interesting idea
your food comes out raw
everyone has their own little kbbq thingo in front of em
gotta spread the love, i mean butter, all over the rice and meat while its still hot

not bad, but u smell like you came from kbbq afterwards

kinda had the teeny bopper atmosphere if anything

Green Mango (Regents Park)

Hmm, decent place for a night food run if Cabra is closed.
The waitress there is like some super chirpy lady.

Food is alright, recommended by relo.

Canley Heights Bistro (Canley Heights)

cheap steak, great sauce and beer battered fries!

bartender STILL remembers me wearing short shorts in primary school though =(

so so good
ive never tried anything other than the crispy skin chicken with noodles and soup

Breakfast at Wharfy's (Mosman)

Another place that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy ^^v

Its by the ferry dock, great serving sizes and friendly staff!

Habib's Charcoal Chicken (Bankstown)

The place to go for charcoal chicken, gherkins, leb bread and chips!
Dont forget to chicken salt everything!!!

the way they make their food is funny (hair dryers?)
but damn it tastes good!

Biscotti Espresso Bar (Homebush)

ooh this place just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy *^-^*

except the ginger carrot juice, that makes me feel warm and queasy =\

only open during the daytime (this may have changed, its been a year since we've been)

Sydney Fish Markets

just nice for breakfast/lunch out in the sun

theres also some icecream in the vicinity!

Una's (Broadway)

A nice steakhouse inside Westfields.
Easy to book for large groups.

Tasty ribs! Go the full rack!
Steaks are average at most.

Very busy, best to book.

Kismet Cafe (North Ryde)

Not exactly something you'd take friends to, but it has good kebabs for lunch if you're working in the area!

Ribs 'n' Rumps (Campbelltown, North Ryde)

Normally dont like lamb, but the lamb ribs here?
Yum!

The original combo is quite nice!
Not bad for pricing.

Its been noted that the pricing at North Ryde is $5 more expensive on most meals.

Bite Me Burgers (Bondi)

Ohhh this place is cool.
They let u play with crayons while you wait!
Fun and big burgers.
Reasonably priced.

Hong Ha Hot Bread (Mascot)

Ok, i know this may sound a bit vague, but thats all i can remember about it apart from having KICKASS BREAD ROLLS!

There was a frikken long line there!
What the hell!

Not as cheap as Cabramatta bread rolls, but sure damn kills it!
Oh, and they have awesome custard tarts too!

*edit* Ok after a revisit I got the name of the store.

Image075 (2)

Thai Riffic (Newtown)

Great place!
Wanting to go again, must have the soft shell crabs!
Yum!

Kingsley Steakhouse (King st Wharf)

Alright place to eat, nice looking but not greatest of service.

And what the hell, booking fee for more than 10 people?
Get fucked!

Steaks were ok, nothing special.

Ryo's (North Sydney)

Erm, overrated.
Its ok I guess, if you're into ramen.

"Calpis" water tastes like "cow-piss".
They werent kidding with the name, ugh.

Takeru (Sydney)

I think this was on kent vuong st or something.
